We Invest in Your Best Interest
WE ARE YOUR FIDUCIARY FIRST
WE BUILD YOU A PERSONAL PORTFOLIO
WE ARE TRANSPARENT IN OUR FEES
WE AVOID or disclose CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Financial planning is at the heart of what we do. Our tailored process is based on the philosophy that you set the goals of your financial life and that our advisors act as your guides to help you achieve those goals. Everyone has a set of values by which they seek to live out their lives. Therefore, your TruWealth Advisor will guide you through a series of thought-provoking questions to assist you in determining your financial and life priorities to enable you to better allocate and invest your resources toward those goals and values.
Once you have determined your definition of what it means to be truly wealthy, your TruWealth advisor will walk you through our personalized, automated and simple-to-use risk analysis process to determine your personal risk tolerance. Each investor perceives and feels risk differently. By using up-to-date technology, you will be able to quantify and assign a numerical value to the amount of risk you are assuming, the amount of risk you need to assume to reach your goals, and the amount of risk that you are willing to assume so that you can sleep comfortably at night.
Your financial life plan will include targeted goals and milestones for each of the key areas of financial planning including cash flow, protection, taxes, retirement, investment, and estate. Each of these areas will reflect your personal values, risk tolerance and goals. This financial life plan will become the working document that you will use with your TruWealth advisor over the coming years during meetings to make sure you are on target. You also will have convenient online access to track and monitor your goals and risk profile.
TruWealth Advisors’ advisory accounts are designed for clients who seek professional management, thorough research and analysis, and tactical rebalancing based on their values, risk tolerance and goals. Our team of investment specialists actively manage these accounts and put the client’s best interests first.
At TruWealth Advisors, tailored investment portfolio design and management is at the core of our offering. Many of our clients seek us out specifically for our investment management expertise. Others are interested in our comprehensive approach to develop a plan for their overall wealth management needs. In either case, we take the time to get to know our clients up front. We spend time to understand your personal situation, values, risk tolerance, and financial goals, all which result in a tailored investment portfolio and wealth management solutions customized to your personal needs. After all, it’s your money, and we are here to help you make the most of it.
TruWealth Advisors does not impose a stated minimum fee or minimum portfolio value for starting and maintaining an investment management relationship. Our mission is to help anyone who wishes to better themselves and those around them.
Methods of Analysis, Investment Strategies and Risk of Loss
Methods of Analysis: TruWealth Advisors’ investment philosophy is long term and based on research, principles and experience rather than short-term trends. Our in-house analysts work with the TruWealth Investment Committee and the individual advisor overseeing each client account. The firm focuses on asset allocation investment strategies based upon a client’s specific investment objectives to optimize the risk and reward of a portfolio. An analysis of the returns, volatility, and correlations of different asset classes is conducted to create portfolios tailored to each client’s investment objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance. Investment research is performed through professional and public databases, paid subscriptions, financial publications and investment conferences.
TruWealth Advisors use a number of analyses in formulating investment advice and managing client assets including top-down and macroeconomic analysis. The firm analyzes overall economic trends and data as well as fiscal and monetary policies to get a “big picture” view of capital markets. The firm develops outlooks indicating which asset classes, types, sectors, and styles may be overvalued/risky or undervalued. A client’s asset allocation at any given time is largely based on this work. The firm’s bond strategies are largely shaped by our top-down analysis as we focus mostly on duration strategies that seek to take advantage of perceived movements in interest rates.
Fundamental analysis: The firm conducts continuous research on a bottom-up basis, identifying asset classes and individual securities with attractive characteristics relative to its price.
Technical analysis (or trend analysis): The firm uses technical analysis to gauge investor sentiment and the supply and demand dynamics for various securities often after the firm has identified a security as a candidate to buy or sell on top-down or fundamental grounds. This work entails analyses of price charts, including price movement and trading volume.
The term “estate plan” can sound off-putting or stuffy. Quite simply, an estate plan can be described as anything from a simple will to a complex estate plan. Whether you have a small estate or a large one, everyone needs a plan in place for the unexpected.
Your TruWealth advisors will work with you and your legal counsel to design an estate plan so that your heirs are not burdened with costly attorney’s fees or deciding what you would have wanted done. If you pass away without a will, then the state’s intestacy laws will dictate where your assets go. Your TruWealth advisor will discuss with you some of the following concepts:
- Who do you want to make financial or business decisions in the event you are temporarily incapacitated?
- Who will make all medical decision if you are unable?
- Who will serve as executor of your estate?
- What is probate? How can you expedite or completely avoid the probate process?
- If you have minor children, who will serve as their guardian?
- Do you need a trust for children who suffer from an addiction or continually make poor financial decisions?
- How do you provide for your children in the event of remarriage?
- Have the beneficiaries of your life insurance and retirement plans been coordinated with your will?
- Did you know your current estate plan may exclude your special needs child from government assistance?
Through the unique TruWealth estate planning process, your advisor will help you design an estate plan that will not only ensure tax efficiency but also help safeguard that your heirs carry on your values and ideals.

Jessica and her husband Jack have a daughter Caitlin and son-in-law Brandon. Once the grandkids came along, Jessica and Jack decided to move back home from their stent in Colorado. So when Jessica is not serving our clients, she is likely doting (okay, maybe spoiling a little bit but who can blame her) over her two wonderful grandchildren Chloe and Brady.
Megan joined the TruWealth team in 2017 to assist with serving our clients by analyzing financial plans and implementing our clients’ priorities.
Megan’s pursuit of a career in finance began at an early age through working as a cashier in her family’s snowball business—how fun is that! Today she delights in serving others and lending a helping hand. She is naturally gifted at developing strong relationships both professionally and personally.
Megan graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, “Go Tigers!” Her interests include health and fitness, art, trying new restaurants and recipes, and spending time with family and friends.

Out of the office, Monique enjoys walking the family dogs Astro and Pebbles and celebrating a slightly less competitive life with her husband Scott.
Rebecca Murray joined the TruWealth team in 2021 following a successful career managing medical clinics across the United States. Growing up in a military family that moved frequently encouraged Rebecca to pursue authentic relationships and to cherish quality time together.
Rebecca has a passion for helping people in need, cooking, camping under the stars with her family, and finding pockets of time to read a thrilling murder mystery with a hot cup of coffee. In her spare time Rebecca joyfully serves in ministry both attending and leading small groups. Rebecca and her husband Jonathan have two energetic daughters, Alayna and Shiya.
Caitlin Powers began her financial journey as a teller while she pursued her associates degree in Business Management from Delgado. After graduating and working in various departments including mortgage lending, Caitlin advanced to branch manager at Regions Bank.

Away from the office, Joanna and her husband Kyle are avid football fans and enjoy their season tickets to the Saints games. The only place she enjoys traveling to more than once is the beach where she can sit with her toes in the sand all day long.

Our bilingual administrative specialist is passionate about sports cars, road trips, learning new things, dining out, and scenic motorcycle rides with her hubby Robin. They celebrate life together with their growing family of children and grandchildren.
One of Rose’s joys about working at TruWealth Advisors is the unique opportunity of working with two of her boys. Her greatest challenge is remembering to refer to our callers as clients and not patients as well as file prepping for client meetings instead of doctor appointments!
Rob joined the practice in 2016 to work alongside our advisors in implementing client priorities. He is often the first stop for clients who have questions about digital services. As technology evolves, Rob has ensured that TruWealth continues to deliver a cutting-edge online experience to all our clients.
Outside of the office, Rob can be found on the gun range, riding a motorcycle, or researching the latest automotive technology. Together with his wife Shivani, they enjoy attending LSU and Saints football games, traveling, and trying out new restaurants throughout the city of New Orleans.
